Title: Driver/Installer (Entry Level
Position)

I. General Summary -The major purpose of this job is to deliver & install computers and printers.
II. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Installs computer equipment.
2. Maintains appropriate paperwork.
3. Drives company vehicle to and from customer site.
4. Talks to customers about company products and services, obtains business cards,
literature and guides. Distributes company information.
5. Assists other technicians with configuring and testing equipment, deliveries, shop
organization, inventory, etc.
6. Communicates with Home Office via telephone, email, fax several times per day.
7. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
III. Conditions related to Employment
A. Working -Must be able to lift 50lbs, have an
excellent driving record and have a likeable and friendly personality. Good teamwork
skills are necessary.
B. Equipment -Must be familiar with Intel Based Personal Computers, DOS, Windows 3.11 and
Windows 95.
IV. Specifications -Qualifications necessary or
helpful in being a successful candidate for the job.
(Include certifications, licenses, diplomas or other credentials)
A. Education -Must possess at least a High School diploma, some college is preferred. Must
have both written and verbal communication skills.
B. Experiences -We are looking for an individual who has had at least informal experiences
with computers. This would include owning a personal computer and making changes to that
computer. Additionally, any customer service and driving experience would be beneficial.
C. Abilities -Must have a good level of common sense; manual dexterity; no physical
limitations that would prohibit lifting laser printers, large monitors or other heavy
computer equipment; and must possess good driving skills.
